Bekennen und Bezeugen Perspektiven personalisierter Christologie im Neuen Testament
Zeitschriftenartikel

New Testament Christology is personalized by one's perspective. Different believers' differing points of view mean that Christ is never entirely seen, only in those aspects that are important to the particular individual. The pro-existence of Jesus is also reflected in New Testament Christology in such a way that the personal relationship between him and the faithful becomes transparent. From this plurality of perspectives emerges a multifaceted icon of Jesus along with a detailed map of faith charting stimulating new ways of seeing both him and the self. Confessing and witnessing - the decisive forms of this discovery that are made clear in the New Testament - can fittingly be spoken of as a personalized Christology. Respect for the human factor in the text guards against both objectifying Christological language and subjectivism because the relation to Jesus Christ in which faith develops leads the individual from isolation and into the community of believers where faith in Christ is testified and confessed to the world.
