This contribution aims to initiate a debate by introducing the argumentation of a biological indication into the discourse, which, after careful consideration in certain situations, can lead to a process in the end voting for killing an animal. A decision based on a biological indication may differ from a veterinary indication and may not meet any of the reasonable justification for killing animals previously recognized. However, such complex-based decisions based on a biological indication must be categorized as reasonable insofar as it is considered as a consensus that conserving biodiversity is an ethically justifiable and politically desired societal task.
