Die Frage, wie Unterricht auf Seiten der Schüler Wirkungen erzeugt, stellt für die Unterrichtsforschung nach wie vor eine zentrale theoretische Herausforderung dar. In Auseinandersetzung mit Erklärungsansätzen, die Unterricht mit Blick auf seine Angebotsstruktur und deren individuelle Nutzung durch die Schüler beobachten, wird in diesem explorativ angelegten Beitrag in interdisziplinärer Perspektive das Potential des sozial- und kulturwissenschaftlichen Gedächtniskonzeptes für die Beantwortung der unterrichtlichen Wirkungsproblematik ausgelotet. Die zentrale Leistung des Unterrichtsgedächtnisses wird in der Etablierung von "Wissensfiktionen" gesehen, die in einem längerfristigen Zeithorizont Erziehungserwartungen im Unterricht sozial verbindlich machen.
The question of how teaching affects students still constitutes one of the central theoretical challenges to research on education. On the basis of a discussion of explanatory approaches focusing on the supply structure of instruction and the individual use made by the students of the educational offers, the present exploratory contribution analyzes, from an interdisciplinary perspective, the potential of the social- and cultural scientific concept of memory in dealing with the issue of the effects of teaching. The main achievement of the memory of teaching is considered to lie in the establishment of "fictions of knowledge" which, within a long-term timeframe, make educational expectations in instruction socially binding.
