In this essay, the author takes a critical look at the theory that the Passion in Mark was modelled on the "Passio iusti", and using the interpretation of Mk 14:32-43 and Mk 15:33-39 he shows that this model contradicts the basic coordinates in the Christology and soteriology in Mark.
