Der menschliche Lebenszyklus und die Erfahrung dessen, was uns unbedingt angeht Erik H. Erikson und Paul Tillich
Zeitschriftenartikel

The psychoanalyst Erik H. Erikson gives clear reference in some of his publications to his Harvard colleague and friend, theologian Paul Tillich. This fact has been virtually overlooked, especially in the German discussion, due to non-consistant German translations of various quality. The article shows from Erikson's original texts the conceptual meeting grounds and consciously shared terminology. The interpretation of Erikson's understanding of religion and thus also of elements of his concept of identity might need to be corrected.
