Conflicts of interpretation about the theology of justification are a direct consequence of Paul's critical use of the topic of justification. The contemporary task of the church of combining Christian ecumenism with the Christian-Jewish Dialogue has to be born out in the exegesis of the letter to the Galatians. Distinguishing the different areas in which Paul uses the doctrine of justification as a criterion allows us to offer a new interpretation of the doctrine of justification in the light of the gospel of Christ and its truth.
