Neu Die "weltliche" und "sakramentale" Bedeutung der kirchlichen Trauung aus praktisch-theologischer Sicht
Zeitschriftenartikel

This essay is a contribution from the standpoint of practical theology and specifically liturgics to the discussion about the orientation guide "Zwischen Autonomie und Angewiesenheit" (Between Autonomy and Dependency), authored by the Council of the EKD. This discussion had been solicited by the former EKD president Schneider. The examination of the fundamental biblical evidence on sexuality reveals great pluriformity, as does the development of corresponding liturgical forms in the history of Christianity. Both present Protestant liturgies and the orientation guide draw on this plurality only partly. From a pastoral-liturgical perspective, the blessing action of the church ought to be informed by the baptismal path of man. Thus it is possible to demonstrate the centrality of the relation towards Christ and to correspond to the pluralistic possibilities of sexual union.
