First of all we remember the reality of family life in the past which is glorified in an inadequate manner in many political speeches of today. In the last third of the 20th century the family life has experienced changes. This fact is the base for the challenge of the political reactions at die present days. Finally the current programs of die parties CDU and SPD concerning family affairs are compared with the declaration of EAF and EKD.
