The one Christian ministry of the proclamation of the gospel is expressed in the dimensions of leiturgia (liturgy), martyria (witness), koinonia (community), diakonia (social help), and paideia (education). The special competence of the parish educational profession has a stronghold in learning processes in Christian parishes (and in other places of Christian work), often focussed on specific age groups (children, youth, adults, elderly) or marginalized church members. It includes processes of group work and supporting volunteers in their educational parish activities. On this basis, however, also elements of the other dimensions of Christian ministry are included.
