To answer this question, it is helpful to distinguish between spirituality and faith and learn from the discussion from half a century ago whether pastoral care can be taught. Spirituality is portrayed as a necessary element for the learning processes in theory and practice during pastoral training. Spirituality proves to be a requirement for a pastoral personality, for theology in practice and for constructive interaction with various expressions of spirituality in the local congregation.
