Zu keinem Zeitpunkt der DDR-Bildungsgeschichte war das Konzept von Schule und Unterricht geschlechtsspezifisch differenziert. Die Gleichberechtigung von Frau und Mann hatte ihr bildungspolitisches Pendant im Prinzip der Koedukation und einer für Mädchen und Jungen gleichen und gleichartigen polytechnischen Bildung und Erziehung. In diesem Sinne spielte eine besondere Mädchenbildung in der DDR-Pädagogik keine Rolle. Dennoch gab es, zeitlich begrenzt, Ansätze zu einer Diskussion über Rollenbilder und Fragen der "Erziehung zur Gleichberechtigung". Der Beitrag schildert zunächst die bibliographische Suche nach dem Material, das für die Entdeckung eines pädagogischen Diskurses in Betracht kommt. Danach wird die Reflexion des Themas in der "Pädagogik", der führenden Zeitschrift der Disziplin in der DDR, diskutiert und mit der außerdisziplinären Wahrnehmung der Gleichberechtigungsproblematik verglichen. Der Schluss befasst sich mit der Etablierung einer nachträglichen DDR-Frauenforschung.
At no point in the educational history of the GDR did girls' education play[s] a role because the concept of school and instruction was not differentiated according to gender. The equality of men and women had its educational pendant in the principle of coeducation and a polytechnical education which was the same for both girls and boys. Still, during limited periods of time approaches to a discussion on role images and questions concerning an "education for equality" could be observed. In a first part, the author describes the bibliographical search for material pertinent to the discovery of a pedagogical discourse. Then the reflection of the topic in the leading Journal of the pedagogical discipline in the GDR, "Pädagogik", is discussed and compared with the extra-disciplinary perception of the problem of the equality of the sexes. In a final part, the later establishment of research on women in the GDR is dealt with.
