Fußnote: Fischer, Johannes: Ethik als Begründung der Moral?. -

The contribution criticizes that Fischer does not specify which concept of (rational) justification he is arguing against. Fischer subsumes a broad variety of ethical approaches under the label 'rationalism' which makes it hardly impossible to judge the validity of his critical claims. Furthermore Fischer does wrongly assumes that the whole enterprise of applied ethics is committed 10 ethical rationalism. Fischer's own concept does not demonstrate how narrative forms of moral justification arc able to deal with the problem of moral pluralism. Fischer emphasizes the role of emotions and narratives in everyday moral discourse. But why is that an argument that we cannot critically reflect and rationally discuss about the legitimacy of our moral convictions?
