Theology has a function in the practical church-based pastoral training which differs from university theology. It is necessary as a theory which offers a foundation for pastoral practice and it is necessary as applied theology - case-oriented and integrated into the diverse dimensions of pastoral practice. We need a new ambition of the ministers to be theologically informed.
