Der vorliegende Beitrag gibt einen Überblick der Forschung im deutschsprachigen Raum zu Zeitperspektiven von Heranwachsenden. Zunächst werden die Bedeutung des Konstrukts für die persönliche Entwicklung von Jugendlichen erläutert und theoretische Bezüge und empirische Befunde der vergangenen Jahrzehnte zusammengetragen. Daran anschließend werden das Adolescent Time Inventory (ATI) als multidimensionales Instrument vorgestellt und damit realisierte eigene Befunde berichtet. Zentral hierbei ist die auf latenten Profilanalysen basierende Entwicklung von fünf verschiedenen Zeitperspektive-Typen (positives, balanced, negatives, optimists, ambivalent), die sich sowohl in verschiedenen Stichproben als auch in einer hier präsentierten Studie replizieren lassen und systematische Zusammenhänge mit anderen Dimensionen des ATI aufweisen.
The present contribution gives an outline of research on time perspectives among adolescents carried out in the German-speaking region. First, the significance of the construct for the personal development of young people is explained and theoretical references as well as empirical findings of the past decades are summarized. Subsequently, the Adolescent Time Inventory (ATI) is presented as a multi-dimensional instrument and the author reports personal findings this instrument yielded. Crucial in this context is the development of five different types of time perspectives based on latent profile analyses (positives, balanced, negatives, optimists, ambivalent), that can be re­plicated both in diverse random samples and in a study presented here and that manifest systematic correlations with other dimensions of the ATI.
