Die Bekenntnisschriften bringen den theologischen Gedanken ins Gespräch, alles Handeln in der Welt als Teil am liebenden Erhaltungswillen Gottes für seine unerlöste Schöpfung zu deuten. Wie ist dieser Gedanke in einer Welt durchzubuchstabieren, in der durch Digitalisierung und Globalisierung Lebensschutz und Freiheitsrechte neu auf dem Spiel stehen? Für die konzeptionelle Weiterarbeit evangelischer Friedensethik ergibt sich die Konsequenz, das Handeln in der Spannung zwischen dem Schutz des Lebens und Freiheitsrechten darauf zu prüfen, ob und wieweit es als Teil am Erhaltungswillen Gottes verstanden werden kann.
The fundamental confessional declarations of 16th century Protestantism express the conviction that all actions of the world should be understood as being part of God's loving will to preserve His unredeemed creation. How is this thought to be spelled out in a world where, due to digitalization and globalization, the protection of life and rights of freedom again are at risk? For further conceptual work on a Protestant ethics of peace, this entails framing action in the tension between protection of life and rights of freedom and examining in that frame the question of whether and how far action can be understood as part of God's will for preservation.
