Wie aus dem Reich Gottes die Kirche wurde die Rezeption der Selbstauslegung Jesu bei Lukas, Johannes und Paulus
Zeitschriftenartikel

Jesus did not simply understand himself as another prophet but stated that in his appearence the Kingdom of God had become present and could be experienced. The author shows how Luke, John and Paul each in their own way interpreted coming together in faith in Christ as a continuation of the presence of the Kingdom of God after Jesus was no longer physically present. In such a way the phenomenon of one 'church', as the basis for any historically developed churches, can be interpreted as a realization of what Jesus had explicated as the meaning of his work. Historical churches are neither to be simply equated with 'church' in the New Testament nor are they seen as a mere production of later times with no substantial continuity of the self-explications of the historical Jesus.
