Covering the period from the end of World War II to the present, this article surveys the most important changes in the development of the relationship between the Protestant Church and Judaism in Germany. It shows how the perception of Judaism improved from a collection of traditional theological stereotypes, still dominant in the psychologically and ideologically highly charged post-war period, to a view which is characterized by a much more diverse attitude.
