Fußnote: Nadolny, Stan: Weitlings Sommerfrische. -
The article describes the content of the novel and concentrates on the way religion and the relationship to God is presented in the two lives of the somewhat atheistic and then somewhat pious main character, the judge and novelist Weitling. A new kind of mild and friendly theism is propagated which is interesting for a theologian's picture of modern forms of faith, also as they show which certain qualities of a Christian understanding of God are missing.
